Arrangement D4 – Zip line & jeep safari Durmitor (one day)

An unforgettable experience with an exciting drive with 4×4 off-road vehicles through the inaccessible landscapes of untouched nature. Get to know the secrets of nature and a unique ambience that provide one of the fascinating viewpoints which offer an impressive view of the entire Durmitor massif. Try some of the ethno specialties offered by ethno restaurants near Zabljak or simply enjoy the unique picnic in nature. On your way you will definitely stop in innumerable  times to capture a breath-taking view. This magnificent journey will surprise you with its beautiful views, authentic villages and the life itself. What is for sure worth to visit is certainly the Djurdjevica Tara bridge, the perfect combination of nature and architecture which will leave you breathless. Enjoy the adrenaline ropes and enjoy riding a zip in the deepest canyon of Europe, while the untouched nature adorned with the emerald beauty of Tara, also called a tear of Europe, lies under your feet.

The minimum number of participants for this arrangement is 4, and if there is less, please feel free to contact us to check if we can combine your reservation with another group of participants.

Plan Trip

After accepting the guests at the agreed location, such as our agency Encijan in the city  Foca or our camp in the very heart of the Tara canyon in the morning hours (recommended time between 9 a.m.-10 a.m.), the next is a transport to the destination.The path to Zabljak itself is adorned with unusual areas such as the Sedlo and Sedlena greda from which there is an impressive view of the entire Durmitor massif. In a little mountain town Zabljak we will stop to refresh and drink coffee, and at the same time there is the opportunity to visit the Black Lake, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the place. After the refreshment the next stop is Djurdjevica Tara bridge where your Zip Line adventure begins. Attach the cable and enjoy in a five-minute magnificent view of the emerald beauty located 200 meters beneath you. Flight can be repeated as many times as you want naturally at an extra charge. After Zip Line, a lunch is organized in the nearby ethnic restaurant (local traditional traditional cuisine) or a picnic in nature on one of the impressive Durmitor views. At the end of this package, we are going back to the starting point where everything ends.

You can also expand this arrangement with an additional night at our Encijan camp in the unique oasis of peace and hedonism combined with half board or with all other arrangements from our offer.

Our traditional homemade cuisine and organic food prepared at our Camp Encijan, which we offer as part of our packages, is another reason why most of our long term and satisfied guests wish to visit us again.

The huge amounts of our delicious home-made food is prepared with love and in a traditional way, entirely from fresh organic food which we provide from our natural surroundings. In a moment, every new bite know to send you to some other and slightly forgotten dimension, in a time of our grandmother’s cuisine.

Our menu offers everything … From a hot doughnuts and home-made bread baked in  a wood stove, all kinds of milk products such as home-made cow and goat cheese, pure mountain honey, fresh trout and home-made ham and prosciutto, lamb and goat meat made under metal pan and everything else what is characteristic for our country.

Where is your camp located and how can I reach you?

We are located at a starting point for rafting, place is called Brštanovica.

Tourists should come to Šćepan Polje, that is the official B&H – MNE border crossing.We own a parking lot, you can leave your car or RV there, It will be safe. We will pick you up at Šćepan Polje and transport you to our camp. If you are in Foča, you can come to our agency, located in Krajiška 2. Agency is located in the city center, in a passage below the Mozzart restaurant.

Do I need to book in advice?

Certain days during the season sell out quickly, so we encourage calling our Reservation office to check for availability. While reservations are required in advance to participate on a rafting trip, we are always busy taking last-minute bookings up to a day or two before a trip. As long as there is available space, we are happy to help you get on the river – even at the last minute!

What about the transportation?

We will arrange a transportation for you from Šćepan Polje to our camp. When you head out on a rafting adventure we will also transport you with our vehicles to other rafting points. When your arrangement is complete, you will be transported back to Šćepan Polje. From there, if you do not own a vehicle, you can take a bus and keep moving. Buses from Montenegro are passing by on a regular basis to Bosnia and Herzegovina through Šćepan Polje.

Can we pay in cash upon arrival?

You can pay with cash upon your arrival to our camp, that will not be a problem. Many passengers, backpackers and wanderers use this option because It is much easier.

Does your trip include guide?

We will assign a guide for every tour that you take to National parks, lakes or any other trips. If you are on rafting tour, certified skippers will be assigned to your group. We have got you covered, you do not have to worry about anything.

What about night entertainment?

We organize live music events on weekends, you will be able to chill out next to our campfire and meet new people. What about the other days? Well, depends on how many guests are in the camp. If the camp has lots of guests we will organize live music events on a daily basis.

How to reach us

At the border crossing of Scepan Polje, when submitting documents to border police officers, it is necessary to emphasize that you are going to the Tara canyon to Brstanovica. After completing the registration (in case you coming from Bosnia and Herzegovina turn round and turn back only 100m,  and if you are coming from Montenegro, you go only 100m forward) where you turn off right from the main road and turn on the local asphalt road leading along the river Tara towards Brštanovica. All skippers hired by agency Encijan have passed various international trainings and licensed and certified by the IRF(International Rafting Federation), and each of them has multiyear experience in their work and has encountered many trips down the Tara River and most of them consider rafting and adventure as satisfaction and their lifestyle, and then the job. Our mountain guides are passionate, experienced mountain enthusiasts who work for years in the outdoor industry and are dedicated to providing you with an exceptional experience.


Prospective guides for Encijan Adventure team spend five years minimum perfecting their Tara River rafting skills under the guidance of veteran trip leaders before earning the position of “Rafting Skipper”. New guides, or guides in training, are known as “Skipper Interns” and it takes a very special person, full of passion, to be successful on the river and work in the natural wilderness of the Tara River Canyon.
